  • App Usage Data: We collect non-identifiable data about how you interact with the App, such as search queries, movie preferences, navigation patterns, or feature usage, to improve the App's functionality.

  • Device Information: Technical details like your device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, or IP address may be collected to optimize the App's performance and diagnose issues.

  • Crash Reports: Through Firebase Crashlytics, we collect anonymized data about app crashes, including stack traces and device information, to identify and fix bugs.

  • Analytics Data: Through Firebase Analytics, we collect anonymized data about App usage, such as screen views, button clicks, and session duration, to understand user behavior and enhance the App.

• No Personal Information: Insta Movies does not require account creation or collect personal information such as your name, email address, or payment details unless explicitly provided by you (e.g., through contact forms).

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide and Improve the App: To deliver movie data from the TMDB API, personalize your experience, and enhance App features based on usage patterns.

• Technical Maintenance: To diagnose crashes, optimize performance, and ensure compatibility across devices using crash reports and device information.

• Analytics: To analyze usage trends and improve the App’s functionality and user experience through anonymized analytics data.

• Compliance: To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

3. Third-Party Services

Insta Movies integrates with the following third-party services, which may collect data as described:

• The Movie Database (TMDB) API: We fetch movie data (e.g., titles, descriptions, posters) from TMDB. TMDB’s privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy. We do not share any user data with TMDB beyond what is necessary for API requests.

• Firebase Crashlytics: Provided by Google, Crashlytics collects anonymized crash reports to help us identify and fix App issues. This may include device information and crash details. See Google’s Privacy Policy for more details.

• Firebase Analytics: Provided by Google, Analytics collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how users interact with the App. This may include events like screen views or feature usage. See Google’s Privacy Policy for more details.

• Third-Party Service Providers: We share anonymized data with Google (for Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics) and TMDB (for API requests) to provide and improve the App. These providers are bound by their respective privacy policies.

• Service Providers: We may engage trusted service providers for functions like hosting or maintenance, but they are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain non-personal data (e.g., search history, preferences, crash reports, or analytics data) only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services, improve its performance, or comply with legal obligations. If you uninstall the App, any locally stored data is removed from your device. Anonymized data collected by Firebase may be retained according to Google’s policies.

Insta Movies is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate action.
