Terms of Service

Welcome to Insta Movies, a movie database application developed by Mubashir P A ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Insta Movies mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. App Description and Usage

Insta Movies provides access to movie information, such as titles, descriptions, and posters, through The Movie Database (TMDB) API. The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymized crash reports and Firebase Analytics to analyze usage trends, improving performance and user experience. The App does not require account creation or collect personal information unless explicitly provided (e.g., through contact forms).

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App.

• Interfere with the App’s functionality or security.

• Use the App to distribute malware or engage in harmful activities.

3. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content (excluding TMDB data), is owned by Mubashir P A or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Movie data displayed in the App is provided by TMDB and subject to TMDB’s Terms of Use.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App or its content without our prior written consent.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• TMDB API: Provides movie data. Your use of TMDB data is subject to TMDB’s Terms of Use.

• Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics: Provided by Google, these services collect anonymized crash reports and usage data. Their use is governed by Google’s Terms of Service.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services. The App also uses open-source libraries, which are subject to their respective licenses.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring your device meets the requirements to run the App.

• Maintaining the security of your device and any data you provide.

• Complying with these Terms and applicable laws while using the App.

6. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mubashir P A and its affiliates, officers, or agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease, and you must uninstall the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

8. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" and posting the revised Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kerala, India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in the courts of Kerala, India.
